Project description
The AZTECA project – Intelligent Environments with Accessible Technology for Work (Ambientes Inteligentes con Tecnología Accesible para el Trabajo) – is an industrial technological development programme being pursued in Castilla y León, which is supported by the CDTI within the National Intercompany Cooperation programme (Technology Fund).
The objective of the AZTECA project is to contribute to the occupational integration of people with disabilities (visual, auditory and motor) into office environments through research and development into new technologies to create an intelligent work environment. To fulfil this objective, we propose constructing a service architecture oriented to facilitating:
- interaction
- communication
- mobility
- independent work
This project proposes the development of a first prototype of architecture and support services that will holistically support the needs of a person with disabilities to enable his or her occupational in the workplace.
The technological objectives of the project are:
- Multi-agent architecture that integrates the following services in an adaptive and personalised manner:
- Location and identification services
- Communication services
- Services for training
- Services for virtualisation
- Interaction services
- User Modelling which proactively collects information about the user and his or her behaviour so that the services can be adapted dynamically to this individual's needs and characteristics.
