Vision

The continued expansion in Europe of broadband multimedia networks has had a significant impact on society. However, the visually impaired or people with other forms of disability in general are unable to benefit from the advantages that integrated telecommunications services imply. This is due, in particular, to a lack of accessibility to the services on offer.

Objective of the project

The ENABLED project is investigating aspects related to the digital gap that exists within the telecommunications world and, more specifically, access to geographic information using the abilities of a fixed network of a mobile nature that provides support to the mobility of visually impaired people.
