Visual (2001-2004) is a European project led by Soluziona and financed by the European Commission within the V Framework Programme (IST-2001-32495) whose mission is to aid authors with the creation of accessible content via a writer’s tool that enables interaction via the keyboard and voice.
The objective of the VISUAL project is the development of an accessible writer’s tool that will enable both webmasters or programmers and people with sight and mobility problems to construct accessible websites.
Technology partner: design, development and validation of the writer’s tool.

The following institutions are participating on this project: Royal National Institute for the Blind, the largest charity organisation in the United Kingdom serving the needs of people with sight disabilities; Unione Italiana Ciechi, the Italian association for the blind; Federation des Aveugles et Handicapes Visuels de France, a conglomeration of various regional associations for the blind in France; Deutscher Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband e.V., which represents the interests of blind people in Germany; and the European Blind Union.
