Indra is a global company that contributes to sustainable development through innovation applied to the exceptional added-value solutions and services we have to offer.
From our perspective, the three facets of sustainability (economic, social and environmental) translate into providing a response, within ever-increasingly complex surroundings, to the challenges and opportunities given to us by each one of our target customers:
At Indra, we especially believe in the social value that our solutions and services provide, not only for many of our clients but also for a large segment of the public in general. Some of them contribute to improving quality of life in areas such as health or transportation (vital for a functioning society), others facilitate consultation procedures (essential in democratic systems) and others support the prevention of catastrophes and environmental management.
Furthermore, Indra aims to play an active role in minimising the so-called “digital gap” by contributing to the removal of barriers and limitations in terms of access to information and communication technologies, as well working on the differences that exist between various groups of people according to their capability to use technology effectively.
The nature of this gap is highly diverse in the markets where Indra operates. Our objective is to contribute towards minimising this gap by using our solutions and services to promote accessibility, as well as the use and enjoyment of quality content..
Within this field, our contribution through the Indra Accessible Technologies is particularly noteworthy. This is the name we have given to the series of collaboration projects that Indra is working on with various knowledge institutions and organisations for the development of innovative solutions and services in areas related to accessibility and social inclusion. Through this initiative, we intend to cause a short- and medium- term impact on society and the market, converting ourselves into an international model of reference regarding both the search for excellence in the development of accessible technologies and in the University-Company collaboration and technological transfer model.
