This is the main package for downloading the Savia game. Download it and start playing with your PC and Kinect.
IMPORTANT: SAVIA is an experimental prototype. The game may return error codes or run slowly.
Technical requirements
The SAVIA games 'Learn How to Learn' and 'Discovering Our Surroundings' run on any compatible PC that meets the following minimum requirements:
- 2.66GHz dual core processor
- 256MB graphics card with support for Shader Model 3.0
- Memory: 2GB RAM
- Disk space: 1GB
- Monitor with resolution 1280 x 720 or higher
- Loudspeakers
- Kinect SDK v1 Beta 2 (Download)
The operating system Windows 7 will need to be installed on your computer. In addition to the computer for running SAVIA, you will need the Microsoft Kinect device, on sale at specialist computer and video game retailers and at large department stores.
To run the 'Reference Communication' video game properly, you will need a second compatible PC with similar characteristics to the first one. A second Kinect sensor connected to this PC is optional. You will also need a microphone and loudspeakers for this second PC.
Kinect is a device with built-in cameras and sensors which when used with specific software can recognize every part of the human body. It can also detect anyone situated in front of the device, providing the exact position of the different parts of the body at all times. It costs approx. €150.
SAVIA will not run on an XBOX video console or any other video console on the market. For the moment, the application is for PC only.
