Portal and task sequencer to facilitate workplace inclusion for people with functional diversity.
The focus of the project, undertaken by the University of Extremadura, is to develop a task sequencing system for special employment centers and occupational workshops. The system will enable people with cognitive disability to work in equal conditions because they will be able to consult the stage of the task they have reached and how to complete it, and then move on to the next stage, thus reducing their dependence on other people and enhancing their productivity. This is important because special employment centers believe they have a limited capacity not only to absorb work loads but to hire more workers.
POSET is conceived as a communication platform that puts employees in touch with employers so that jobs can be allocated and contacts can be made irrespective of the geographic location of the parties involved. In addition to the usual sections, the portal also permits the specific publication of activities that employers want to carry out and the publication of activities offered that employees may carry out. Additionally, the work commissioned and the public and private profiles of the parties can be monitored with a view to seeking synergies.
