AZTECA – Intelligent Environments with Accessible Technology for the Workplace – is an industrial technological development project currently being undertaken in Castile-León with support from Spain's Center for the Development of Industrial Technology under the aegis of the National Inter-Company Cooperation Program (Technology Fund). The objective of the AZTECA project is to assist inclusion for people with disabilities (visual, hearing and motor) in office settings by researching and developing new technologies to create intelligent work environments. To fulfill this goal, a service architecture will be designed and built to facilitate:
- interaction
- communication
- mobility
- independent work
The idea behind this project is to develop an initial architecture and service prototype to provide holistic support for the needs of disabled people and their inclusion. The technological objectives of the project are:
- Multiagent architecture comprising the following adaptive and personalized services:
- Location and identification
- Communication
- Training
- Virtualization
- Interaction
- User model that proactively gathers information about the user and his or her behavior so that the services can be dynamically adapted to the user's needs and characteristics.
