Visual
Visual (2001-2004) is a European project led by Soluziona and funded by the European Commission under the auspices of the Fifth Framework Program (IST-2001-32495). Its mission is to help authors generate accessible content using an authoring tool that permits interaction through the keyboard and voice.
Its objective is to develop an accessible authoring tool that will enable webmasters or programmers as well as people with visual and motor disabilities to build accessible websites.
The following institutions are involved in the project: Royal National Institute for the Blind, the United Kingdom's largest charity dedicated to the needs of visually impaired people; Unione Italiana Ciechi, the Italian association for blind people; Federation des Aveugles et Handicapes Visuels de France, which agglutinates the various regional associations for blind people in France; Deutscher Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband e.V., which represents the interests of visually impaired people in Germany, and the European Blind Union.
